Argentina has already made significant strides in expanding its renewable energy capacity through a series of transparent competitive tenders, awarding 667MW of battery energy storage system (BESS) in its first tender under the AlmaGBA scheme. This first tender which closed earlier this year was oversubscribed and ended well above the 500 MW target— receiving bids totaling 1,347 MW from 15 companies.
