Mike has more than twenty years of experience in project and systems engineering. Currently at Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas, he plans the systems requirements for customers’ energy storage needs—from the bid process into the project phase. Mike spent five years in the renewables field. As a project engineer at GE Power Conversion, he provided solar inverters to North America’s largest solar developers. At Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, he helped deliver the company’s first energy storage system, 12MW/12MWh, to power the Kia car factory in Monterrey, Mexico. Mike also has 17 years of experience in automation in the mining industry. He held roles in project engineering, project management, systems engineering, and engineering supervision for a leading underground coal mining equipment supplier, which became Caterpillar Global Mining during his tenure.
